    UNDERSTAND

    Users, Business Needs, Tech Capacity

I interviewed the team members, Livestrong members and their family. I completed a short heuristic analysis of existing Web sites after reviewing guidelines for landing and donation pages. I also observed a lot. Take a look at what I found out.

    DEFINE

    Design Strategy and Focus

My design strategy for the landing page is coming up slowly. I know who my main users are, and how I want them to feel about the landing page for fundraising.

    IDEATE

    Explore Many Options

I had a few layout ideas, and you can see some of the sketches here. I believe that the second idea can lead to our destination.

    DECIDE

    Choose What to Focus on

These wireframes are based on the second idea I previously described. I usually build wireframes with Adobe XD and I do it quickly. This time, I decided to build it in browser with Boostrap 4. Creating the first wireframe was sloooow.

    PROTOTYPE

This is my first prototype. I'm taking a break from this project and working on another one. I'll come back to it when they finish signing up for a non-profit account.

Lydia Glogov

It’s been two months, since Lydia Glogov joined Livestrong at the YMCA. And she wasn’t a happy joiner, she said, although she was weak and exhausted all the time. But she relented under the pressure from her daughter and her doctor.

She already sleeps better, she said. She doesn’t wake up 20 times at night, as she did before.

Lydia is remission happy after her breast cancer treatment, but her journey has not been easy.

“Financially, it killed me,” she said.

Shirley Davies

Shirley Davies knows that her job is important.

“Drowning is the second leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 14,” she is quick to point out.

She joined the YMCA as a 12-year-old. She likes to say that she was a terrible swimmer until the age 26 when she became a lifeguard.

Shirley lives and breathes the YMCA spirit where no one is turned away because they can’t pay.

“We offer free swimming lessons to all children in the West End, ” she said. “Watching them go from water scared to swimming like a fish is amazing.”

SOLUTION
